Premiere: Marc Bianco feat. Folamour – Pelicanism

Marc-Bianco

A devotee of jazz, neo-soul and house music, French DJ/producer/pianist Marc Bianco attained a career milestone last week with the release of his debut album, Speak Like The Hurricane.

Issued via frequent collaborator Folamour’s FHUO Records, the full-length encompasses a deep, vibey and gorgeously chilled-out downtempo sound.

We’re pleased to world premiere “Pelicanism” from the album. It’s a future-jazz cut of the tallest order, featuring the aforementioned Folamour as well as dexterous bass and keyboard work, and a gentle, head-nodding groove that doesn’t quit.

Premiere: Adaline – Part Of You (Adult Karate Remix)

Adaline - Part Of You Adult Karate Remix

We’ve sung the praises of LA-based singer/songwriter/producer K.C. Maloney (a.k.a. Adult Karate) many times on this site. As he continues to nurture his electronic music-informed sound, he’s launched his own indie label, Elegant Regrets Music. His ambition is to release an eclectic array of music he believes in, ranging the gamut from dream-pop to post-rock.

Today, we’re thrilled to world premiere his shimmering nu-disco remix of the imprint’s debut release, Adalines “Part of You.” The duo have collaborated in the past on several AK tracks (“Del Mar,” “So Low” and “Friction”) so the musical union was a no-brainer.

“When [Adaline] asked if I would be interested in remixing [“Part of You”], I said yes right away,” Maloney recalls. “Her new sound is a bit more poppy and electronic so I was confident I could take that vibe and run with it. When I got all the stems I just had a feeling that it might work well as a disco-flavored track.”

The process was super-quick: “I wrote the bassline in my head while driving, and as soon as I got home, I recorded it on my Danelectro bass in two takes. The whole remix came out so easy, and I had a rough mix in less than 24 hours. It’s always such a pleasure working with Adaline’s voice; her tone and penchant for catchy melodies are unparalleled. I’m lucky to be able to work with her.”

Premiere: djseanEboy – Tartrus EP

DJSeanEboy TARTARUS

Barbuto’s Mavic Music is about to kick up the summer heat with a new release from rising underground techno talent djseanEboy’s Tartarus EP. The Raleigh, NC-based DJ/producer’s impressive discography includes releases on Unity Records, Funk’n Deep and Prospect Records.

We’re extremely pleased to world premiere both tracks from djseanEboy’s forthcoming effort – the hard-hitting big-room stormer “Tartarus” and the off-kilter and thoroughly mesmerizing chugger “Realm” – out August 9.

Says djseanEboy of his latest pair of dance-floor burners, “I’ve always found it hard to find the right words to communicate who I am as a person and my personality. Producing music has allowed me to express myself in ways I can’t with words. I write songs that are inspired by my mood and the influence infuse of my favorite artists. This combination helps me create a groove and allows me to take my creativity to new levels. With a deep love for melodic, acid and hard techno, I try to create my own statement and inspire others. This EP for Mavic Music was a culmination of these thoughts, these beliefs.”

Christopher Schwarzwälder & Iannis Ritter

Berlin-based duo Christopher Schwarzwälder & Iannis Ritter are a pair of kindred spirits who collectively craft glorious leftfield/minimal house excursions.

Ahead of the upcoming release of their Out the Window full-length due out later this year via Hamburg-based label Audiolith, we’re pleased to world premiere the title track of their upcoming long-player.

“Out the Window” is a bass-heavy slice of electronica nirvana that comes complete with a hypnotic vocal chant, crisp drums and heavenly synths. As the song’s vocal hook suggests, “Close your eyes and let go.”
