How was 2018 for you?
Joyce Muniz: It was a very intense year, but I have never had one which was also so productive. I had the chance to work with some amazingly talented people including Little Boots, DJ Hell, Namito and Kim Ahn.
Highlights?
I think that the one highlight for me was moving to Berlin. I never wanted to move there before, but the universe chose it for me, and now I am very happy to call it my home. It’s such a creative place that enables me to be able to work with so many different people on music. Apparently it’s home to “creative chaos” but I love it.
Lowlights?
I was unable to travel to a lot of shows due to a surgery which I had to have done, and it was a very slow and length recovery. But your health is the number one priority, and that comes first and foremost. I am fine now, but when you cannot tour it’s hard.
Song of the year?
Dapayk Solo – Flood (feat. Komplement). This song is sick – great production, awesome mix and the vocals are great. I really like the message it has too. It works at festivals but also on smaller dance floors. I played it a lot this year.
What’s your New Years resolution?
It is very simple…I really want to finish my live set, so I can finally play live. ☺
