After contributing their stellar “Visions” collab with Felix Raphael to Get Physical’s Words Don’t Come Easy Pt. 6 compilation in the summer, Berlin-based house DJ/production duo Stereo.type — George Mahoney and Bryan Reynolds — close out 2018 with their just released Wasting Time EP on M.A.N.D.Y., DJ T and Booka Shade’s aforementioned legendary imprint.
The pair’s relationship with the label dates back to 2013 when they debuted with their rousing cut “Momento,” and their latest three-tracker exudes swirling acid lines, musical maturity and another brilliant cut called “Wasting Time” featuring Raphael.
Regulars at nightspots such as Kater Blau and Watergate, George and Bryan to share their favorite tracks of the moment.
Cornelius SA, Jackie Queens – Feel It Now (Cornelius SA Remix)
We’re both big fans of the South African electronic music scene with a wealth of undiscovered talent continually producing amazing music that really fits our style and our sets. One standout artist from the bunch is Cornelius SA, who delivers this amazingly deep and emotive house track with Jackie Queens doing the track justice on the vocals. We really dig this one, and you may feel the same way too after listening.
Kemback – I Need You
Timeless track here from the ever consistent Needwant imprint. Blissful House vibes. Great use of the vocal that teases in and out, never overused and always appearing at just the right moment.
Love Over Entropy – Stranger (Original Mix)
Love Over Entropy delivers again this time for the Lossless imprint with a timeless classic called “Stranger.” The production in this one is insane with its moody driving charm and no-nonsense vocal bringing it all together to create an emotive thought-provoking anthem.
Stereo.type feat. Felix Raphael – Visions (Original Mix)
We really love collaborating with other artists and none more so than Felix Raphael. Our collaboration with Felix on Visions was our first collaboration to be released on Get Physical Music this year. The track oozes class with its classic house theme and on point vocal delivery throughout making it a suitable song choice for all listening occasions.
DJ Counselling – Curt’s Jam
Another feel-good house track that builds on cleverly layered samples resulting in a song you just want to play again and again. The elegant rhythms and smooth melodies make this one feel just as good at home as it does in the club.
