How was 2017 for you?
Jimmy LaValle: It was very interesting. Started off with finishing touring for Between Waves with a Sundance show, Japan/Taiwan tour then Treefort Festival. Then Album Leaf kind of went on a little hiatus. Then I scored a TV show pilot, had a film I scored premiere at TriBeCa film festival and took a break. Mid-year, I decided to put the wheels in motion for Eastern Glow Recordings, my own label, and start the process of reissuing my first two records. Those came out in December and we’ll do a handful of shows playing the old songs which I’m looking forward to doing.

Not being totally sure about Album Leaf’s future and what I wanted to do with the project, ie. throw in the towel, keep going, etc.

What’s your New Year’s resolution?
Make more music, score more films, collaborate, and spend time with my family.
