US fans eager to catch Kompakt Records’ co-founder Wolfgang Voight (a.k.a.) perform at Day for Night festival in Houston, TX, as well as dates in New York and Philadelphia, this month received disappointing news yesterday when the German producer announced on Facebook that he was unable to travel due to visas problems.
Voigt, who curated Pop Ambient 2018 issued last month on Kompakt, wrote “our team tried everything to reach the responsible US embassy to get any information on our case but unfortunately were left without any further information or support. After months of hard work from dozens of colleagues, we are devastated by this news.”
On the bright side, Voight said that new US dates are forthcoming.
“We will hopefully be in the United States in March 2018 as planned and have rescheduled the NYC show for March 20. We are working hard with our partners in Philadelphia to find a new date at Union Transfer. For all the fans traveling to Day for Night Festival, we are incredible sorry we cannot be there and we hope to schedule a performance near you soon.”
