Today marks a milestone for the esteemed compilation and event series Future Disco as it unveils Future Disco 10: Complete. Repeat. A Disco Drama curated and mixed by label founder Sean Brosnan. A 16-track set containing funky nu-disco cuts by Kraak & Smaak, Låpsley and Cubenx, the compendium is the final chapter in the long-running series. As Brosnan works to evolve Future Disco, he will also focus his efforts on Future Disco DJs, a coterie of touring jocks and artists including Dom Chung.
Having used Future Disco and Needwant Recordings as a platform to nurture artists such as Tensnake (whose “Freundchen” is featured on Disco 10), Todd Terje, PBR Streetgang, Ejeca and The Mekanism, we can’t wait to see where Brosnan goes in 2017. Before the release of Future Disco 10, we got a few moments of his time and asked the musically voracious A&R to tell us about five tracks he adores.
Fort Romeau – “Secrets & Lies”
Fort Romeau is hitting something of a stride, and I think I’ve played nearly every one of his originals and remixes over the past 12 months. This is subtle but hypnotic track that leaves plenty of room for imagination.

Herbert – “See You On Monday” (Linkwood Remix)
I’ve always been a fan of Linkwood’s production but on this remix he delivers such depth of sound and emotion it’s my remix of the year.
Peggy Gou – “Maktoop”
Something about this EP has got me and lots of others excited about Peggy Gou. Again, that the track has a really subtle house sound that isn’t trying too hard but can’t help but captivate you.
Leon Revol – “Cantik”
This new one from Leon Revol features on the new Future Disco album and is forthcoming on the new Future Disco singles label also. I’ve been playing it all summer and there’s always something to love about the simplicity of great drums and bass.
Lancelot – “7am In The Afternoon”
Been a big fan of Toy Tonics’ releases as well as Lancelot so this one has me excited. Low-slung acid.
