Brooklyn, NY-bred vocalist Michelle Weeks has been knocking ’em out on the dance floor since the early ’90s, releasing inspirational house anthems of the highest order. It all began when she lent her powerful voice to Diva Convention’s 1994 classic “Give It Love,” easily one of the best deep-house tracks of the era. Weeks never rested on her laurels and went on to collaborate with big-name producers including Bobby D’Ambrosio, DJ Spen, Kings of Tomorrow, Jamie Lewis, and Joey Musaphia. She’s even handled background vocals for Mariah Carey, Taylor Dayne, and Trey Lorenz.
Just in time for Miami she is about to release “Love Life,” a soulful jam produced in association with Genetic Funk (a.k.a. Grounded Records boss Si Firmin). Destined to be one of the biggest tracks at WMC/Miami Music Week/Ultra Music Festival, we’re extremely pleased to world premiere Genetic Funk’s 420 Dub. (Note that the length of the mix is 4:20 and makes no reference to weed!)
Listen to the debut below and be sure to pick it up on Traxsource on March 17 and everywhere else on March 31.
