Here’s a match made in house music heaven. Earlier this month German DJ/producer duo Milk & Sugar released “My Lovin’,” a soulful and highly joyous jam featuring legendary New York City house songstress/party promoter extraordinaire Barbara Tucker. Never ones to rest on their laurels, M&S — Michael Kronenberger and Steffen Harding — put their anthem in the extremely capable hands of man of the moment Oliver Dollar, whose remix we’re excited to world premiere. Dollar, who is known internationally for his breakthrough tracks “Make A Living” and “Pushing On” with Jimi Jules — lovingly bathes the song in a tub of uplifting funk, carefully maintaining the original’s essence while injecting his golden touch. Go have a listen to Dollar’s re-rub below, and be sure to buy it when it’s released along with a remix by Mat.Joe on May 6.

Premiere: The Motto – WoodstockInthisshit
Dutch duo The Motto know that you’ve got to fight for your right to party — even when funds are nonexistent. On “WoodstockInthisshit” the twosome comprised of Joveek Murphy and Jalise Romy pen a smoldering tune inspired by setting up a house party together with a bunch of cool and free minded people, without the need of money. “Even though you’re broke you can still make parties and celebrate! There can be enough supplies if everybody brings something with ’em. Bottles, food, music and good vibes. ‘Woodstockinthisshit’ (Woodstockin’ this shit) stands for bringing alive the vibe that the festival Woodstock’(1969) had and pouring that energy into our house parties. Love, peace, happiness, music and art!”
Video Premiere: Chris Hunt – Elegy
Atlanta-based producer Chris Hunt has been breaking musical ground and pushing limitations for years. After the breakup of his band Cloudeater, Hunt has carried on making music that challenges the senses. His work has manifested in the form of two solo EPs, Tomb and Tomb II, which he recorded in Atlanta and New York. His creativity knows no boundaries as evidenced in the video for “Elegy” from Tomb II which he directed. “I shot the footage here and in Death Valley and put it all together,” Chris tells us. “This track was built by recording drones playing through speakers in a house I used to live in with a former partner. The sound of that track is inseparable from the sound of the house.”
Premiere: Art In Motion – Brisa (Original Mix)
Since its inception in 2010 Union Jack Records has released quality house tunes by the likes of Mat.Joe, Roger Martinez and Matthias Vogt. For their latest offering the imprint taps the talent of Brazilian producer Art In Motion (a.k.a. Vicente Amadeo) for his second release on the label. Produced in a bucolic house nestled in the mountains two hours from Rio de Janeiro, The Green House Jam EP is one of those magical records where nature and artistic inspiration aligned to make for a truly magical creative moment. We’re thrilled to world premiere “Brisa,” a deep, moody affair bolstered by lilting melodies, warm bass and clickety percussion. Have a listen to “Brisa” below, and be sure to check the full EP when it’s released on April 11.
