When news broke earlier today that famed Chicago footwork artist DJ Rashad had passed away from a drug overdose, fellow DJs took to Twitter to pay tribute to the Windy City trailblazer. DJ Godfather, who was the first to report the tragic news on Twitter, tweeted, “I loved all the music we released over the years. U will be missed!” Collaborator Chance The Rapper also offered his condolences while others like Peanut Butter Wolf and Tittsworth also paid their respects. Here’s a rundown of some of the love that’s being sent Rashad’s way in lieu of his untimely passing at the age of 35.
R.I.P. to my long time friend DJ Rashad. Great friend & producer. I loved all the music we released over the years. U will be missed!
