How was 2017 for you?
Daniel Boon: It was great. I released my first album, Boon & Bane, in April on my own label, Neuhain Recordings, with great remixes from Alberto Ruiz, Simina Grigoriu, Drumcomplex, George Morel, Sin Sin, Pierre Deutschmann, and other artists. I also released on Loose Record and Simina Grigoriu’s label Kuuko, with a fantastic remix from her and one from Torsten Kanzler.
Highlights?
Some very good gigs, including St. Petersburg and in Berlin at Ritter Butzke. In December I played for the first time at Watergate.
Lowlights?
Not having much time for my family and friends
Song of the year?
I don’t have a best track, but I do have a favorite artist. For me Julian Jeweil is the artist of the year 2017.
What’s your New Year’s resolution?
In 2018 I will join a new agency with Pascal Feos, David Temessi, The Yellowheads and Roel Salemink. The name is Soulwax from Toby Rost. And I will have some new releases on Riot Recordings and some remixes.
