How was 2017 for you?
Badin Brothers: We had a great year with the release of our first EP Music Off on Housekeeping Records. We produced music in collaboration with very talented up-and-coming musicians such as Paco Naveira (Octopus Kid), the Caravan EP, which will come out first half of 2018. We kicked off the year on a high with the closing sunrise set on NYE at Café de la Musique in Trancoso, Brazil. Excited to be part of Housekeeping Records and the Housekeeping family!
Highlights?
Lots! Burning Man B2B with John Acquaviva; Housekeeping records label showcase parties at Koko, Camden; working and collaborating with respected producers such as Luca M, Andy McDougall; Traveling around to world, playing our music and meeting incredible people; Fabric’s 18th birthday last month was also out of this world — amazing vibe; and Ricardo Villalobos delivering some prime cuts for basically an entire afternoon! Phenomenal!
Lowlights?
It was such a stimulating and hectic year that we haven’t had time to register any significant lowlights. We turned down a few gigs in Ibiza as we didn’t feel it was the right match for us. We therefore played at less public venues and more private parties. We will come back strong in 2018.
Song of the year?
Hard to say! Some great releases this year! We love Dale Howard’s high energy releases and in particular “DVTN” (Original Mix).
