2017 Rewind: Rehmark

Rehmark

How was 2017 for you?
Rehmark: It was a very good year. I achieved very important goals. There were also important gigs, and changes in my career. My radio program is very successful and very soon we will launch the label. In conclusion, it has been a year of deep changes.

Highlights?
I released music on great labels, such as Off Recordings and Truesoul, which has made my music go on another level being played by artists such as Adam Beyer and Carlo Lio.

Lowlights?
The feeling of wanting to improve my sound and productions and realizing that sometimes I can’t capture and express the sound I have in my mind.

Song of the year?
Inigo Kennedy – “Voyager”

What’s your New Year’s resolution?
Be true to myself and to my way of understanding music. Learn every day a little more to love my work.

grazze

How was 2017 for you?
Grazze: 2017 was a transitional year in my career. I made changes in my sound, and therefore in my artistic objectives, trying to reach a more elegant line. It’s helping me to reinvent myself and prepare for what is coming on 2018.

Highlights?
My last releases on Universal Spain, Sirup Music and Eton Messy and my new radio show, Sounds of Grazze, on Loca FM.

Lowlights?
All difficulties implied by changes. In my case, to define my new musical line.

Song of the year?
Nora En Pure & Sons of Maria – Uruguay (EDX’s Dubai Skyline Remix)

What’s your New Year’s resolution?
To release much more music of the best quality and spread my creations worldwide.

2017 Rewind: Alex Tomb

Alex Tomb

How was 2017 for you?
Alex Tomb: Pretty decent. I settled back to my country with my family, started a lot of new projects, and all the effort and time spent started to show really positive results so far.

Highlights?
Moving from Berlin back to Cyprus, where I built a proper studio and finally found the time to start my own label, which was way overdue!

Lowlights?
Having less and less time going to the studio because of family and work. However, this helped a lot to use time wisely and get things done faster.

Song of the year?
Lusine – “Witness” (feat. Benoît Pioulard)

What’s your New Year’s resolution?
To spend more time in the studio and give more attention and details to my new label and my music.

@Alex Tomb

2017 Rewind: Hakk

hakk

How was 2017 for you?
Hakk: Definitely the best for my artistic career so far. Moy Santana and me launched our vinyl record label, Sungate and released our first track together on Solar Distance, Uner’s label. I’ve also played quite a lot here in Madrid and met amazing people like my colleague, Daniel Rodriguez, with whom I share sufferings and joys working for Expansive and Notorize.

Highlights?
Warming up for Eduardo de la Calle and releasing “Space Waves”

Lowlights?
Alopecia

Song of the year?
Lanark Artefax – “Touch Absence”

What’s your New Year’s resolution?
Spend more time in the studio and the gym and less in the office. Work more for me instead of others.
