Here’s some good news for fellow music junkies: Taking a page from e-tailers such as Amazon and Warby Parker, online music retailer Bandcamp will launch a brick-and-mortar record store at 1901 Broadway (steps away from the 19th Street BART station) on February 1 in Oakland, CA. Nice!

According to a post on Bandcamp Daily, the shop will “feature a selection of records that showcase the diversity and design of the more than five million albums available on Bandcamp, and we’ll soon host free, all-ages shows as part of an upcoming video series.”

Additionally, the store is planning to partner “with amazing local organizations like Oakland School for the Arts, Bay Area Girls Rock Camp, and Transgender Law Center (check out last year’s fundraiser) to throw music-focused community events.”

Bandcamp will celebrate the store’s opening with an all-age event featuring Bells Atlas, Sol Development, Queens D. Light, Jazz on the Sidewalk, and MJ’s Brass Boppers taking place at 7pm on opening day.
