Dance music website Ibiza Voice has ceased publication effective immediately, according to a farewell post by CEO and editor Jean Louis Santoro. Here is his letter in its unedited entirety:
In 2003 Samuel Guetta and I created Ibiza Voice. “Hype, Lies and Gossip” was not just a tag line, it was a rallying cry, an ode to a way of life. We wanted to capture the energy and chaos of Ibiza’s music and club scene. Ibiza Voice was made by and for clubland’s crazy, talented, beautiful people.
Ibiza Voice was the magazine of reference for clubbers and music fans and I am deeply proud of all we accomplished. It was the best job I ever had, working with incredible people from all over the world. But 13 years is a long time to do any job, even the best one. It is with heavy heart I have decided to pull the plug on Ibiza Voice. Every great story has an ending, and it is time for me to seek new adventures.
I want to extend a final massive thank you to our dedicated readers for their loyalty and support, to our journalists for their great write-ups, to the artists who shared their dreams and music, and to all who contributed along the way. It was a hell of a ride. We hope you enjoyed the years we spent together as much as we did.
Ibiza Voice’s story ends here with lots of love,
Jean Louis Santoro,
Ibiza Voice CEO and editor
