It turns out Miami hot spot Adoré wasn’t so adored and has closed after only four months. The elaborate, $10 million club located at Boulan South Beach launched by Cy Waits (who managed XS and Tryst nightclubs in Vegas with twin brother Jesse Waits) was in the process of transferring ownership to KNR Hospitality, a nightlife group known for running clubs such as Wall, the Living Room and Cavalli. According to reports, KNR had a change of heart and opted not to go forward with the deal.
Manager Jenn White e-mailed staff about the closure: “We were overbudget in construction, delayed in opening, and have not been generating sufficient business to even cover costs. With [. . .] no clear path to long-term success, OFG Management has resigned as the management company….”
During its 16-week run the 12,000-square-foot booked a good selection of acts including Diplo, Joseph Capriati, The Wknd, Chris Lake and Morgan Page.
