Premiere: Villette – “Untitled” (Interpol Cover)

Villette

London-based DJ/producer Siné Buyuka helms the one-woman project Villette. In addition to sharing bills with notables including John Talabot, Metronomy, the xx and Jan Blomqvist in her hometown of Istanbul as well as crafting remixes that have gained a lot of traction in the blogosphere, she’s also worked as a journalist writing for publications such as Billboard.

In the run-up to issuing her upcoming Crossed Wires debut EP on her newly launched Injazero Records, Buyuka has crafted a divine tribute to Interpol’s “Untitled,” which we’re thrilled to world premiere.

The opening song on Interpol’s seminal 2002 album Turn On The Bright Lights, Buyuka lays her delicate vocals over a soundscape featuring samples of the band’s echo-drenched guitar and lots of warm bass.

Listen to the stunning cover below, and get ready to soak in a tribute that comes from deep within this artist’s heart.
