How was 2018 for you?
Tom Scholefield: It was great fun. I’ve been DJing more this year. Started my Contemporary Hardcore series of events. First one was at Berlin Atonal and another in Milan. We’ve got more lined up for next year. They all been pretty mental so far. I’ve been touring with Kode9 for Nick Dwyer’s Diggin in The Carts AV project over the last 14 months. We’ve been collaborating with Japanese animation director Kōji Morimoto and the composers of the Streets of Rage soundtrack, Yuzo Koshiro and Motohiro Kawashima. I’m responsible for the live visuals. I’m also finishing off my third album due for release next summer on Planet Mu, probably the best thing I’ve made so far.
Highlights?
Atonal, Club to Club and Mira Festival
Lowlights?
Feeling a bit detached from Berlin because I’ve been working so much
