How was 2018 for you?
Claudio Ricci: It was an incredible year as I launched Stripped Down Records together with my friends and partners, Monika and Christian Zorn. Luckily it’s performing great from the first release, and I’m proud to say that we released four EPs this year with the following artists: Timo Maas, Basti Grub, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Tiefschwarz, John Tejada, Whitesquare, Uner, Sasse and more.
Definitely that I’m producing on a regular level which is what I love most. The success of my releases which is direct feedback for me as an artist. I’ve reached for the first time the Top 10 (Afro House) at Beatport, and one of my tracks was licensed to John Digweed’s Live at Tokyo Compilation for Bedrock.
The political attitude of the European Union concerning the refugees who try to come over the mediterranean sea to Europe.
Song of the year?
Boah…hard to choose only one track. I’ll go with DJ Koze’s “Pick Up” on Pampa Records.
