How was 2018 for you?
Brian Cid: I’ve been lucky enough to have experienced growth both professionally and personally every year since my career in music started. This year was key for me and my team as my music reached new territories and our projects continued to keep taking shape as we wanted them to. Next year is looking even better.
Highlights?
I just released my debut album, Meteorite Man, via Balance Music, which has been a huge achievement for me. I put a lot of work into it and was pleasantly surprised to receive lots of unexpected support which I’m very grateful for. I’m so pleased to finally be able to share it with the world. My first Endangered event that took place in Brooklyn was also a very proud moment. It’s the event iteration of my imprint and the goal is to take it all over the world.
Lowlights?
It’s hard for me to look back negatively, but I was a bit disappointed to not be able to play more dates in Argentina aside from Buenos Aires. Also the fact that I was unable to go to Australia when my team and I had planned the tour for quite some time. I definitely plan to change this and make my way Down Under in 2019!
Song of the year?
Big support to my buddy, Eagles & Butterflies, and his great track “The Last Dance.”
What’s your New Year’s resolution?
Lots of things in the pipeline for 2019 including the continuous push of my label, Endangered. We hope to start showcasing the label’s talents in different cities around the world. Also a few more musical projects are aligning. I want to keep the momentum going and spread as much love as possible!
