How was 2018 for you?
Hannah Wants: 2018 has been another busy one and a great transitional year for me. After taking some time out in 2017 lots of work behind the scenes has been happening in preparation for 2019. I recently started my own record label called Etiquette, which will not only release what I believe to be my best work to date but also feature both up-and-coming and already established artists.
Highlights?
Getting to do what I love for a living is my yearly highlight; I’m grateful and appreciative.
Lowlights?
We live in one crazy-ass world, and I don’t mean in a good way. It shocks and saddens me to see some of the fucked up things that go on in our world still the Yulin dog meat festival or killing elephants for tusks to apparently cure impotency or to hang on some idiots wall and just two examples of our madness. I just don’t understand how we can live in such an advanced world yet be so backward and cruel to beautiful animals who are just living beings just like us humans.
Song of the year?
Y’know what this is hard. It’s impossible for me to pick just one soooo I’m gonna say this would be in my top 10 of the year. Ramiro Lopez & Andres Campo – Pachamama has been a staple in my sets for some time now so I’ma choose that! It bangs!
