Rising Melbourne-based electro-house producer Needs No Sleep hasn’t been in the production game for too long, yet he’s managed to make lots of waves in a relatively short amount of time. He’s accomplished thus feat by way of his high-octane dance floor jams.
Fresh from recently collaborating with Russia’s Zeskullz on “Black & Blue,” a release featuring vocals from Mikey Ceaser out now via Homerun House, we connected with the Wonder from Down Under and asked him to share his five tracks of the moment.
Eli Brown – “The Guru”
Eli Brown is someone who not only delivers quality tracks but delivers them in quantity as well. His latest offering has the signature sounds I’ve come to love from him with a new spin on his tech style.
Shiba San & Green Velvet – “Chance”
Part of the Fearless EP released by the esteemed duo, chance is a dance floor weapon that still gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. The first drop gives you a taste of what’s in store while the final drop is a hands in the air fist pumping moment. Monster of a tune!
Fisher – “Stop It”
Absolute weapon of a tune. I first heard this being played by Claptone live at one of his gigs, and I had to find out what it was straight away. This is a tune that gets first-time listeners and those already familiar with the track moving from the first drop.
Camelphat – “Magic Stick”
After the epic crossover success they had with “Cola” these guys are back showing you why they’re a quality act in dance music. “Magic Stick” has playful lyrics that gets crowd moving with a classic Camelphat baseline. Good track to play out.
Wildfire – “Get Enough”
One of my good mates and an absolute gun of a producer has his latest release “Get Enough” on Melbourne imprint Jump To This. Wildfire never fails to capture dance floors and this latest release offers up a killer beat with a hip-hop styled Autotune vocal. The result being another banger to add to your Saturday night playlists!
