How was 2017 for you?
Jeff McIlwain: Pretty good! Put out my album, toured around a bit, worked on some scoring projects, and bought some new studio gear.
Highlights?
My trip to Europe/UK was fun. Sarah, my wife, came with me. I hadn’t played London in a while, so that was great. I also really enjoyed playing at the 4,3,2,1 eclipse event in Missouri. Seeing the eclipse in totality was quite fun.
Lowlights?
Obvious political stuff, I guess. So many bad stories coming out. I guess I’ve tried to keep my focus on my immediate friends and family as much as I can.
Song of the year?
Hard to pick one from that amazing new Slowdive album, but I guess I’ll say “Slomo.”
What’s your New Year’s resolution?
Stay inspired. Keep searching out new music. Don’t get complacent.
