How was 2017?
Ralph Falcon: 2017 marks our third year of Murk Mondays at Coyo Taco in Wynwood. This party has been a blast since day one. We’ve enjoyed legendary guests the likes of Arthur Baker, Jellybean Benitez and most recently Roger Sanchez, leaving us with some incredible memories!
Highlights?
Remixing “Be Together” feat. Jei on Murk. This was the final project on my old studio system. Building a new system and figuring out how to produce on new digital platforms while retrofitting some analog implements have opened up a bunch of different options and cool results. Really inspiring!
Lowlights?
Recently Miami was hit by Hurricane Irma causing all kinds of destruction. Many people lost their homes and most of the city lost power causing a chain reaction of disarray. For days you’re living in an aftermath!
Song of the year?
George Acosta & Clinton Cartel’s “Latinos” (Made in Miami)
What’s your New Year’s resolution?
To launch my personal imprint, Falcon Digital. This label will not only be for musical releases but audio visual works, film and multimedia projects, events etc. Be on the lookout!
