Franky Rizardo 5 Tracks of the Moment

Franky-Rizardo

Dutch house DJ/producer Franky Rizardo’s star has been on the rise for the past decade, courtesy of his standout releases on Saved, Defected, Spinnin’ Deep, Simma Black, OFF Recordings, and his own LTF Records.

Currently riding high on the global success of his floor-friendly jam “Same Man,” Rizardo has lent his highly sought after mixing touch to the latest installment of Defected’s In The House mix series. The 31-track double-disc affair is overflowing with upfront cuts and exclusive remixes, including his stellar remix of Roger Sanchez‘s “Morning Prayer.”

Before Rizardo embarked on a global tour in support of the mix compilation that takes him across South America, the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, the UK then Belgium and finally back to the Netherlands, he took time out to share five fresh tracks which he currently can’t live without. Here they are listed in no particular order.

2Raumwohnung – “Somebody Lonely And Me” (Ricardo Villalobos Remix)
Love to listen to Ricardo’s productions, pushing boundaries and uncompromising. Really like the way he works the vocals on this one whilst keeping the groove steady.

Gorge – “Say It”
8Bit has been releasing amazing music lately. Love this steady groove by Gorge.

wAFF – “Wormhole” (Butch Earworm Remix)
A big trend lately is to put a big electronic kazoo on the drop, as introduced by Andrea Oliva with his “Vermona.” I think this track does that so well that it also immediately ended the hype as well. Butch has been my favorite producer over the last few months.

Memoryman feat. Rogue D – “Release Me”
Really warm atmosphere on this with a very big catchy vocal, always creates good vibes.

Butler & Bontan – “Call You Back”
Very effective tune, sounds fresh. Both these guys are on fire at the moment.
