Amsterdam-based DJ/producer Miss Melera continues along on her mission to put her own twist on dance music. As evidenced by her recent EP on Chapter 24 Records, which follows previous efforts on labels including Parquet and Einmusika, each project she touches finds her going from strength to strength. The release not only features two sinewy new tracks, “Magenta” and “Mint,” but also remixes by legendary mixmaster Dave Seaman and up-and-comer Jonas Saalbach.
We checked in with Miss Melera and asked her to wax poetic about five fresh tracks she can’t live without.
Bicep – “Celeste”
Beautiful and a very sensitive track with an instrumental feeling. It’s best enjoyed when you close your eyes.
Henry Saiz – “Moonspell”
Henry’s latest release on Last Night on Earth is one of my favorite releases at the moment. A specific sound with lovely melodies and variations.
Sebastian Mullaert – “You’re An Orchestra In The Cosmos” (Joris Voorn Remix)
What can I say? Just epic.
Fat Sushi – “Hana”
At the moment I play this track in almost every set and it never disappoints. Great energy!
Stephan Bodzin – “Powers Of Ten” (Maceo Plex & Shall Ocin Remix)
I love to play it. This track is so well-produced with body and a deep feeling at the same time.
