Digitalism’s 5 Tracks of the Moment

Digitalism

Always ones to push the musical envelope and keep their fans guessing about their next move, Hamburg’s Digitalism — Jens “Jence” Moelle and İsmail “Isi” Tüfekçi — said hello to summer in a big way this month with their new single “Roller.” Mixed by Matt Wiggins at Paul Epworth’s Church Studios, the ferocious electro-charged track will get even the most jaded clubber amped up on the dance floor.

Ahead of a busy summer filled with DJ dates and an appearance at Lollapalooza Berlin in September where they will unveil their new live show, we caught up with the guys and asked them to talk up five of their favorite songs of the moment.

Digitalism’s “Roller” is out now on PIAS. Catch their DJ set at A Night With Digitalism featuring Riton and DJ Falcon at Port Des Champs-Élysées in Paris on June 27.

1. The Chemical Brothers – “Go” (Virgin EMI)
We are only here to make you Go! They are back and it is so good! We can’t wait for the rest of the album.

2. Gunjah – “Rave” (What People Play)
Such a good track and an alternative secret weapon. We love it and have been playing in our sets for a long time.

3. Tiga & Boys Noize – “100” (Turbo)
This track has such an impact! A damn hot track that will surely end up a classic.

4. Digitalism – “Roller” (Magnetism)
It sounds familiar! A classic Digitalism track!

5. Whitey – “Somebody, Grab the Wheel” (No label)
Rock ‘n’ roll! Who doesn’t know Whitey?! After his huge track “Leave Them All Behind,” he is back. A great indie track.
