Today marks the first anniversary of the passing of DJ/producer Andrew Weatherall, one of the brightest minds to ever craft music for the dance floor.
Weatherall, 56, died as a result of “a pulmonary embolism. He was being treated in hospital but unfortunately the blood clot reached his heart. His death was swift and peaceful.
Weatherall’s influential musical legacy is being remembered today on a rework of New Order‘s “In A Lonely Place” released on Weatherall’s Rotters Golf Club. It was produced by Andrew’s brother Ian Weatherall and Duncan Grey featuring remixes by David Holmes, Keith Tenniswood and Sean Johnston (as Hardway Bros.)
Proceeds from sales will benefit Weatherall’s partner, Lizzie, and the Thrombosis UK Charity.
