A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help Teri Bristol, a multi-decade DJ mainstay at Chicago clubs like Smartbar, who is dealing with serious health challenges.
After DJing a New Year’s show with long-time mixing partner DJ Psycho-Bitch at Walker’s Point Music Hall in Milwaukee, WI, Bristol, whose DJ sets are a fierce mix of house, techno and industrial music, was admitted to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN, with kidney failure on January 3.
Bristol underwent surgery and is undergoing dialysis treatments.
While doctors work to determine the condition of Bristol’s kidneys, she remains hospitalized and is waiting to find out if her condition is acute or chronic.
The GoFundMe drive started by Chariya Em has a goal of raising $25,000 to help Bristol financially during her recovery.
Teri will be on disability for an extended amount of time during the rehabilitation process. This fundraiser has been created to help ease any financial stress so Teri can focus on getting physically and mentally better. With long term and/or lifelong medical care comes long term and lifelong medical costs.
