2018 Rewind: James Demon

James_Demon

How was 2018 for you?

James Demon: 2018 was a year with a lot of focus on my label, Occultists, and my own music productions. I completed quite a few EPs; one came out at the end of October. Right now I’m spending the last half of the year fine-tuning future plans for the label and myself as an artist.

Highlights?

The main highlight was surely the release of my new Padded Cell EP. I put a lot of love into that EP and it really marked a turning point in my evolution as an artist.

Lowlights?

I played less gigs this year than I have in recent years but it was a sacrifice that needed to be made to focus on creativity.

Song of the year?

Hands down Lucia Luna – Origami

What’s your New Year’s resolution?

For next year I have huge plans that will include vinyl releases on my label, more DJ bookings and getting the event series for Occultists started up again in Berlin.
