Maurice Aymard 5 Tracks of the Moment

Maurice Aymard

Madrid via Caracas DJ/producer Maurice Aymard makes blissful house. With releases on Berlin’s Moodmusic, Hamburg’s Einmusika and Denmark’s Tic Tac Toe Records, and remix credits for artists such as Mario Basanov, Compuphonic and Combo, his emotive sound delights on and off the dance floor.

His 2013 debut album Between Stars remains a watershed moment in his career. Recorded during sessions in Barcelona, Berlin, London and Venezuela, it struts the line between deep- and tech-house. The essence of the LP is distilled into the memorable collaboration with fellow South American Gui Boratto on “Home.”

The Galaktika Records boss will present the Into the Sun EP via InfraDig Records on September 25. It’s a techy, musically expansive offering, featuring remixes by James Teej and Hobo.

Ahead of the EP’s release, the Venezuelan maestro shares five of his current favorite tracks.

Paulo Olarte – Solo dejate Llevar
Been fan of Paulo’s music since the beginning of his career. I love his dirty sound, the Spanish vocals, and his Latin groove. This is my favorite track from his debut album.

Pablo Sanchez – Proximity
Music is connected with images in many ways , this inspiring video and track was made all by Pablo Sanchez, close friend, beautiful human being and with a lot of talent. Atmospheric pads, groovy percussions and big melodies, still a killer in my sets, especially when the sun is rising.

Pablo Bolivar – Hideaway
Pablo is one of my favorite producers. I always play his music in my sets. This track is not one of those that you can play anytime; people must be real connected in your set and your mind. I also think this one did not get the attention that if should of but it certainly got mine.

Garnica – Love Someone
This is the single from Garnica´s album released in 2013. I fell in love with the video and the sexiness of the song. Still on my pen drive since it was released.

Maurice Aymard – El Final feat Yetta
I guess somebody wants to see me DJ they might also want to listen to the music I have made. My musical influences are all from the ’90s and “El Final” reflects all of this. Live bass, guitars, drums and vocals, it’s a track that took me a lot of months to make and is one of my favorites and timeless ones. Not to mention the lovely vocals and lyrics from Juan Pablo Solari.
