Only Saturday, July 29 (that’s tomorrow!) House of Yes and legendary Burning Man crew DISTRIKT, a 501c3 non-profit music and art collective, unite for Summer of Love, a day of dancing, art, music, and fundraising. Expect to see interactive art, aerial Spectacles, glitter stations, and lots more.
The lineup is killer, with The Scumfrog and Alex Cecil manning the decks along with DISTRIKT crew’s DJ Kramer (pictured), Paul Geddes, Ben Seagren, Darren Grayson, and John Early.
Ahead of the event, we touched base with DJ Kramer and asked him to share give of his favorite dance floor jams of the moment. Read below, and we hope to see you on the dance floor!
Dusky – Cold Heart
A nice bouncy, stabby builder to wake up the dance floor and get people grooving. Pretty impossible not to dance to this one. Very Dusky!
Fancy Inc – Restrained Steps (Original Mix)
This one came out of nowhere and is a stormer. A punchy, techy roller with just enough of a vocal sample and a nice breakdown that builds and then drops right back into the groove.
Sasha – Pontiac (Club Remix)
There is pretty much nothing that Sasha does that I don’t like. The original “Pontiac” on “Scene Delete” is a crazy weird/awesome tripped-out synth ride and the remix grabs the best parts of that and adds a punchy, stabby groove. Sasha fans will love this one.
Cristoph – EyeSpy
A big, proggy, synthy stormer that’s great for peak hour. A blow the roof off kinda track!
Joe Goddard – Music Is the Answer (Hot Since 82 Remix)
Joe Goddard borrowed a line from the Celeda/Tenaglia classic, then they got Hot Since 82 to remix it. That pretty much says it all!
