Seattle-bred NYC-based DJ/house producer/Touch of Class label manager Corey Baker caught the world’s attention as a member of the Wildkats trio, whose credits include releasing tracks on Hot Creations, Get Physical, Hot Waves, and Off Recordings.
All the while Baker has kept other irons in the musical fire. On August 4 he will release his Pattern Drama & Friends EP on Cenote Records under his Pattern Drama alias, featuring collabs with Aquarius Heaven, Hezza Fezza and a remix from Francesca Lombardo. Originally a duo and now a solo act, Baker’s gorgeous EP is quite an artistic statement, boasting a distinctly nocturnal late-night atmosphere.
Ahead of the EP’s digital release on August 4, we checked in with Baker and asked him to talk up five tracks dominating his DJ sets. Check out his picks below and be on the lookout for Baker’s new EPs and remixes scheduled for Get Physical, Superfreq and Akbal.

Christian Burkhardt has always been a go to for me. This one has great dance floor appeal for me and always works. Cool vocals, groove and feel. Boom!
Pablo Fierro – La Palma
This one came out a few months ago via Innervisions and the spaced out birds, arpeggio and effects during the break are insane. Always get great feed back from the crowd on this one. Such a cool record!
Mihai Popoviciu – I Should
This song has groove for days. I’m a big fan of Mihai Popoviciu and this track has everything needed for the dance floor. I love the vocal and the slippery, evolving bassline. Vibes!
atish – Peculiar Colors
Atish has been a friend of mine for a few years now. I can also happily say he is a collaborative partner of mine as well. I just love his first offering to the dance music community on his own Manjumasi imprint. The piano riffs have always given me chills and the crowd has always been receptive to this dance floor groover. Go atish!
