Known for its killer lineups within the breathtaking beauty of Indio, CA, the quandary Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival festival-goers face once they buy their coveted ticket is how to get to the festival. Those with deep pockets and zero patience for driving will be elated by Uber’s UberCHOPPER shuttle to the event. The global taxi service has partnered with Blade to provide helicopter trips from the Van Nuys Airport outside of Los Angeles that will take attendees directly to the festival grounds. The cost is $4,710. Since each helicopter holds six people, a full flight brings the fare down to a measly $697 per person. A bargain, right? As part of the package an Uber car will provide roundtrip transportation to and from the airport. Oh, and there’s also a complimentary tequila bar at the airport on both sides of the trip.
The two companies have worked together before, with Blade providing a helicopter service for Uber from Manhattan to the Hamptons in the summer of 2014. Blade recently offered speedboat service between South Beach and the Ultra Music Festival during Winter Music Conference.
The first Coachella weekend takes place April 15-17, the second from April 22-24, and Stagecoach goes from April 29-May 1.
