Nettwerk Records has signed Los Angeles-based DJ/producer Andy Caldwell to its roster of artists. “With infectious grooves and fabulous vocalists, Nettwerk Music Group is very honored to help electronic music fans the world over discover Andy’s music,” said Mark Jowett, VP of International A&R/Publishing at Nettwerk, in a statement.
Caldwell’s signing comes after he received a 2014 Grammy nomination earlier this month for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical for Delerium’s “Days Turn Into Nights,” from the Canadian act’s most recent studio album, Music Box Opera.
Said Caldwell of his nomination, “It’s always an honor to receive a Grammy nomination from your peers. I plan to fully relish in this milestone achievement; it’s not the kind of thing that happens just any old day. I’m now one step closer to my ultimate goal of winning a Grammy! No rest for the wicked.”
Those in the know will recall that Caldwell rose from San Francisco’s house scene in the early ’00s, producing for Om Records and assorted imprints — including his own Uno Recordings — before relocating to Los Angeles and expanding his sound to a more mainstream one.
Caldwell will release his new single on Nettwerk in 2014.
